Introduction
Robert was born as the first child of Anna and Ron Groen. In 1993 they welcomed his brother Michiel and in 1995 their little sister Eva was born. In 1996 the whole family moved from The Netherlands to Richmond, Texas, because of Ron’s work. After three years in the US they moved back to The Netherlands in the summer of 1999.
School
Robert completed both elementary and high school without any problems. Because of his maximum Cito test score (550 points; national top 1%) finishing elementary school, he qualified for VWO, which is the highest level of high school education available in The Netherlands. Now in his final year at this high school where also the Queen graduated, Robert is especially interested in economics. Anticipating a major in economics, he has taken the micro- and macro economics AP exams, for both of which he scored a 5.
This year Robert is working on a Worldschool project. Robert got an assignment in which he was asked to write a micro-financing system for the society of Budalang’I, Kenya. In April 2010 he will present his work in The Hague(political centre of Holland).
